Good guess - very logical!
Since Solomon was was a Biblical king known for wisdom, it could have been something that inspired the early white settlers of Salem.
The first Europeans came from a fishing settlement at Cape Ann and settled in the Salem area in 1626, four years before the settlement of Boston.
They established it as a key Puritan settlement and later a significant port, attracting diverse settlers for trade and religious reasons, including merchants, craftsmen, and Huguenots.
Don't give up! Keep trying!
